Safety Footwear and Their Features Explained

Worker's safety was something that industry owners seldom considered, and when a worker got injured or incapacitated in the line of duty, they just got a replacement. Due to changes in legislation from 1930 onwards, it became more cost-effective to protect the current workers from harm that replaced them. The EVA is completely lightweight because it’s made of plastic-based open cell material, making it suitable for lightweight safety footwear such as trainers.
  • Polyvinyl Chloride : Safety footwear may feature PVC alone or a combination of polyvinyl chloride to provide increased abrasion resistance. Despite the excellent cushioning and abrasion resistance, this material has very low temperature tolerances and will crack under cold temperatures. It offers lower slip resistance compared to rubber.

Toe Protection (SB)
